It Most be in the Water

I was going to post this anyway but after reading Laura's blog I know how she is feeling. I finished Justin's bedroom (except buying sheets for the twin bed and a new shower curtain). The pictures are on the walls and the bathroom is painted and the fixures are replaced. I have been cleaning and organizing like it is some new great drug. I am making a magazine rack to keep little hands and mouth off the pages (it hangs on the wall). We are putting the gate upstairs up and the cabinet locks up this weekend since he started to crawl. I am planning on painting the riser of the stairs hopefully this week and start organizing my craft room, which needs shelves probably. I want to paint the kitchen but Pete doesn't like the colors I picked thus far. Too girly I guess but hey it's not like he cooks in it everyday. I don't know what I would have done if we had a girl there is no way he would have agreed with any of the colors I picked. Anyway I decided to only have one craft project out at a time and I have been getting a lot more of them done. I plan on finishing the window by the door in the next month (yeah that has only been on a 5 year vacation). I have been working out and reading don't ask me where I find the time with Justin but somehow I have been squeezing the most out of the naps he has each day.

Happy Father's Day Peter

You are patient, caring and fun
These are just the start of the qualities you show our son.
As he struggles to sleep almost every night
You almost never are mad to be the one to hold him tight.
And although I know you wallet always seems empty
I know that your heart is always full and has plenty.
I guess what I am trying to say
is we love you and Happy Father's Day

6 months have come and gone

oh my I can't believe how time is flying. So Justin is now 27 inches long and weighs a little over 16 pounds. He has no teeth yet. He can almost crawl. He gets up on all four and tries to go forward but finds himself farther and farther from his attended desitation. He hated rice and oatmeal cereal but loves vegetables. He has had green beans, sweet potato, carrots and squash. I just started making his food and he likes that better then the store baby food. He didn't seem to like the fruit as much as the vegetables except applesauce. Banana didn't go over as well. He is still trying to sit up the hard way (by pulling himself up from the waist in the laying down position) . This kid is going to have a six pack by one. He growls and blows raspberries. He likes attention and tells me when he doesn't like something with a loud eenh. He has perfected grabbing anything within reach and of course it goes straight to his mouth. He is very active when he is awake and has a hard time calming down to go to sleep. He loves music and looks for the source of anyones ring tone.

Bouncing Baby Boy

Has anyone wondered where this beautiful phase came from well now you do. Our son started the jumping in the seat at 8:30pm. At the time all I could think was great he was suppose to fall asleep an hour ago and here he is acting like a mad man. A few days later I was talking to Cami about it and she offer for us to borrow her bouncy swing. So many thanks to Cami it was love at first bounce. As a side note when he pauses in the seat is when the tv caught his attention.
