Choices... Choices

So I was folding clothes and looked over to find my son holding two sippy cups. One had ice water the other chocolate milk.  The best part he was sipping from one and then would sip out the other and did this back and forth several times. I was just glad the camera was actually near by. As a side note I embroidered his onesie. It says "Saw It...Liked It...Told Mommy...GOT IT!!!

New Perspective

For the last week I have commited myself to reading every morning from F. Enzio Busche's book "Yearning for the Living God." I needed a change in my life that included diet and exercise and a change within. Sometimes I find scriptures daunting to read so I decided to start with books that should uplift me.  I saw my first perspective change today, I had noticed that my days have been happier since starting but this was different, I told myself not to look at what my husband didn't do but what he had done this week.  I was finishing the laundry (that I asked him to start last night for me in the morning) and was starting to get annoyed that he didn't pick up some of the clothes that were laying around the house. Well I didn't ask him to do that I thought so I should be happy he remembered to put in a load for me. And you know what this thought was right, Pete has a lot to do at work right now and with his calling and here he is trying to help me a little around the house.  He does the dishes and it may not be the same night which I would prefer and he always forgets to clean the drain trap and it starts to stink but hey most husbands don't even do the dishes and I should be thankful that he does.  Also on Tuesday he cleaned up and reorganized Justin's toys in the living room which were starting to overwhelm furniture and walking space and then had to work until midnight that night. Every morning he feeds and plays with Justin before he goes to work and lets me sleep until he leaves (I am trying to actually get up during that time but it hasn't happened yet so maybe in the next couple of weeks I will do better).  I am thankful for this change sometimes when I am reading the book I don't want to stop because he tells stories about members and himself that bring such a sweet feeling into my heart and I don't want it to leave. Of course not every story does but so far each morning there is at least one if not more that starts my day off right. So thank you Peter for all you do for me I hope this lesson is branded in my heart so that I can always look at what you do well and not hold on to what you missed.

If you thought your kids have destroyed the house...

So I was checking out Make It and Love It's blog and she took pictures of her son spilling her paint in the kitchen and I thought hey that's something Justin would do. He has only made managable messes thus far but if that was out. Let the fun begin. Well she went on to say that someone posted their messy experience after her blog. If you ever think your kids have made a big mess well check this out http://choosetothrive.blogspot.com title Child Destruction Photos. You will pray everyday that your child does not bless you with such an experinece. I would have cried and called Peter to get home ASAP. It would only be a great story to tell when you are 100 years old and looking back.

Since it's been so long...

I haven't been blogging about Justin so my motivation to write every month is long gone. It doesn't help that I spent the last month not wanting to get out of bed. My thyroid is acting up again which causes tiredness like no other. I know pregnent women think they can relate but let me tell you it was too much to lift the remote on the tv to watch it. It has been horrible. I finally got the nerve to do something after I felt bad for Justin. I couldn't allow him to be alone all day with a mom that can't get out of the covers of the bed and put some clothes on and change him into clothes. I got up the next day early and ran (what was I thinking) and did the same thing the next day (still it made me fill a little better). Also I got some vitamins to help until I get to the doctor and get my blood test and then the results and then a prescription. Then it'll take about a month or more for that medicine to start working effectivel. So maybe in two months I can lose the weight I gained from my condition as well. Isn't that sad I will be excerising for all that time but because of the hypothyroidism I probably won't lose weight until the drugs start working. If I am lucky it'll make it so I don't gain more until then. I am not holding my breath. I have been though this before and it went away after my pregnancy and I guess it came back. The reset button after pregnancy didn't last forever (of course the doctor said that would probably happen I guess I was hoping to be one of the rare cases). So I have no motivation and I have to push myself to exercise and take care of myself and I probably will not even have the reward of looking thinner (which I asure you doesn't help with the motivation factor). The real kicker is the vitamins I have to make sure I don't eat the multi-vitamin first or I throw-up. I have no idea why that should be the least of my problems..

Its Just Too Cute

On our way to my dad's house this Thanksgiving we all had to stop and stretch our legs so we stopped near Ocacobee and there was a small playground witha slide that had rollers. As you can see Justin loved it.

Marriage to Peter

This year our anniversary fell on Thanksgiving. Although this wasn't a problem we didn't really feel like the day was ours so to speak since we were with family. We went and saw Fiddle on the Roof in Oct. to celebrate so it wasn't lost. But I wanted to tell you all how much being married these 5 years have meant to me. Peter has been a great husband so tolarent of my annoying habits and understanding. I don't remember life ever being this good. I am thankful especially for him and his love. I love him even more as I watch him with our son. I don't know how it is possible to love someone a little bit more each day but it can happen (Even though some days I forget). He has made my life very complete and taught me so much in the process. I am blessed to have these years thus far with my husband and look forward to the years to come.

Walking Justin

Happy Happy Feet!! Justin is so glad he is walking. When he relized he was walking on his own he looked at me and started to laugh and clapped his hands. He already knows pride. Its great.

Cayo Costa Island

We went to Cayo Costa Island for a family trip and it was a great getaway. It was a primitive camping island that we had to take a ferry out to. It was a lot of fun but we didn't have enough time there. We both got our fishing licenses and caught fish right off the shore of course we didn't know what they were and we caught and released. Next time we are planning on bringing a chart that has pictures and regulations on it and cook some of the fish. Justin was really good the only problm was he took his naps in our arms preferably listening to the waves. There was also great shelling and I got some cool shells. There was a lot of beach space and we barely saw anyone else there. It was a perfect vacation!!
