I learned to smock

My mom brought her pleating machine to my house and I have been smocking. I made this jumper for Justin but I think it is too big so I'm just going to have to make a smaller one, oh darn. Then of course I had to make a little girl's dress. Isn't it darling. I've had so much fun doing it and it is so much easier then you would imagine. I love easy stuff that looks great when it is done. It is one of those things that make me feel warm and fuzzy.

This Little Piggy...

went into his mouth?!!! So Pete and I were sitting on the couch and Pete was holding Justin like so and I look over and there is Justin with both big toes in his mouth. It was a riot to see. I jumped up to find the camera but by then he was only sucking on only one big toe but had the other close at hand. So sorry you miss out but from the pictures I am sure you get the idea. Man the things we think are cute when they are at this age. They can suck on their toes, grab people inappropriately and spit up on you and you just laugh.

For all you Justin watchers

So 5 months have come and gone. I seem to be having trouble posting these things on time. Well at least I took the picture on the right day. Here he is. Man our child loves to be outside. He loves to walk around the circle (which is a 2 mile walking path made in our community) but he especially loves the park swing so I felt it very fitting to take his elephant to have a photo shoot. And what do you know this was the one and only picture I took because I just didn't think I would get a better shot. During the last month he learned to roll over. At first it was by accident and you could tell how shocked he was and then he was doing it over and over again. So he is not allowed on any high place without close supervision and quick reflexes. He is growing up and now cries at strangers he thinks are scary or something. He always squeals when he is done watching TV or playing so we taught him to reach towards us when he wanted us. Man did he pick that one up quick. I think by day two he was in Pete's arms and he leaned over towards me and held out his arms. It was so cute I felt so special and then I apologized to Pete because he didn't want him. He hated rice cereal so I didn't give him anymore solids at this point. That is all I can think of for that month I am sure I am missing somethings that's what I get for waiting so long.
