Justin Update

So I forgot to tell you guys when Justin started talking. He says two words clearly (or ones we can understand). The first word was nice but it is said as diice we know this  is what he is saying because he also rubs his hand over himself or you as he says it and this was how I try to teach him to pet the dog and not hit me.  Then he says a very long southern bbbyyye. With quite the draw to it. You know he is from the south.  He says it everytime we leave a place. We leave the house bbbyyye, We leave the store BBYYE.  It's kind of cute. He started these words about two-three weeks ago.  He also blows kisse , signs eat, gives high fives and knows I'm going to move my hand on down lows, he claps, and signs something all the time that I have no idea what he is signing. It maybe one he made up and hasn't told us the meaning but he smiles big when you sign it back, so whatever.

Geocaching

Our friends the Darby's came to visit us, which is always a treat. While we were talking Mark mentioned that they go geocaching. Well I'd never heard of it, so asked them about it. He told me on the various websites there are lists of GPS coordinates with small hints and you go to the coordinates and search for the cache. (see http://www.geocaching.com/, for more info). They can be anywhere from a micro cache (about the size of your little finger, to large Tupperware). Well Barb and I were intrigued as we went to the above linked website to see what is around. There was a lot, so we figured with a few in our area we'd give it a try. Unfortunately it was getting dark, and although the description said it was an easy find, we did not know what we were looking for and it was getting hard to see, so no luck. We decided that the following day, we'd go out as soon as I got home from work. We went to the same two locations we'd tried the day before and were successful (see picture). So now that we had found two easy ones we thought we were pros, so we when to a harder one. After spending 15 minutes looking around a bunch of red pipes, I was feeling like we were not going to make the find, but in a last ditch effort we searched again a little harder and make the find. So now we are hooked. There are about 5 geocaches on my way home from work so as I'm driving by, I plan to stop at them and see what I can find. Wish me luck.

Where's Justin?

Justin discovered that he can fit into the cabinets today. I knew it would happen one day it tends to be a child’s favorite. I am glad though that he chose the cabinet with out any thing in it to start. I am sure it is only a matter of time before he pulls everything out of the other ones to felicitate his body.

Egg Hunt

First I have to thank the Daniel’s again for letting us use their yard for an Easter egg hunt. I kind-of asked her to throw a bunch and egg hunt at her house. Isn’t that what friends are for? Anyway Justin really just wanted to play in their castle which luckily had a few eggs that we were able to convince him to grab and out in his basket. Then we were trying to get him to get the eggs in the grass and he decided that all his eggs needed to go there. It was a really good time though and it was a fun and filling brunch before conference.

The Great Houdini

Now we have been calling Justin this for a while because poof sippy cup gone poof sippy cup reappears. Also he has found objects that we thought were lost way before he was born. The problem has been most of the time this is with his sippy cups that have milk and we have to keep an eye out or he is trying to drink sour milk.  But today has taken the cake. So I went upstiars after taking Justin's pj's off and all I can smell is poop in his room. So I start to hunt for the poopy diaper that must have been left right.  Well after a minute I look in his crib and there is poop all over the sheet and his blanketie.  Now I am a little mad and I call my husband to ask if he got Justin out of bed and did not notice the poop everywhere.  Peter tells me he smelt poop and brought Justin down stairs and changed him but guess what no poop. So he figured he imagined it or Justin farted.  Also I took Justin's pj's off this morning and they are the same ones I put on last night and there is no poop on them.  I looked around the room and can not find an old diaper that maybe he played with which still poses the problem of how did he not get it on his clothes? So the question is how did he poop in the bed and not get any on his pj's or in his diaper? So unless he figured out how to take all his clothes off and diaper, poop and then redress including his diaper without making a mess on himself  he most deffinately has out done himself. I don't think we may ever figure this one out.
